![]() The only two good melee boots are the summer greaves and the rollerblades, and those two are not in arcade mode while magic users get significantly more choice with the crystal pumps and phaseman boots. Mages also get their good accesories earlier than melee, and melee doesn't even get all the items that would make it better. Melee also gets practically no accessories in arcade mode. Cast speed also does literally nothing for melee as it only affects spells, and if you're using spells, you're not really playing melee unless it's static touch, but that is the only exception as it relies on baic attacks and is a magic spell. You can use the blade of echoes, but it is extremely unfavorable as it causes you to potentially take a lot of damage, and the only way to do a reliable amount of damage late-game is by using the spiked club which is very rare to find.Using a magic weapon for the projectile effect is not a good strategy as it is a massive loss in attack, and that is unfavorable as melee already does little damage. Bloom where you MIGHT get broadsword or the spiked club which are very rare. ![]() You can get the club or slime hammer by the forest, which are exactly the same, the smashlisght in the pumpkin woods, but after that you get nothing that is worth it until around Mt. In arcade mode, there aren't an extremely low amount of melee weapons, no, but the pronlem is that the ones that exist are either completely useless, very unfavorable or extremely rare in arcade mode shops. Aside from physical attack or magic attack stats, even mages can benefit from attack speed, defense, or health, and even melees can benefit from casting speed, more energy, or energy regen or heck, actually using a magic weapon in general to get the projectile effect. Mages literally only have like, two 2-handed staffs, and there's only one magic weapon in the entire game that has a special effect, and that special effect only works for a single spell (summon plants).Īnd there's way more melee weapons than magic weapons.Īrmors are debatable, because anyone can use them easily and can get benefits from their stats. Magic has practically every advantage over melee, so I wouldn't complain if I were you. To put it into perspective, in arcade mode, endgame mage gear is also endgame melee gear, a good amount of melee items aren't even in arcade mode and melee items are far more rare than magic ones in shops. Melee is consistently drawing the short end as it's close-combat, has low damage compared to almost all types of magic, and it has significantly more gear than melee. I would look at the others before this one though.Originally posted by Chaldo:Mage builds do not draw the short end. You can build your character in many different ways and has fun writing in a well done world. Worth a look for fun or to keep your eye on but it's not a finished experience. If you want something you can mess around with my bf was really into the magic side (lots to work with), while I enjoyed the more simple archer class that never really let me down.Īdditionally Secrets of Grindea is a cute adventure puzzle game though its unfinished and slowly updating over time. Really fun game if your feeling co-op with story. I'll also add Divinity: Original Sin 2 (don't need to play the first). Keep your eye on the wiki if you need to since its a lot of learning through playing if you find yourself needed added details. You also find mounts that you can switch to that can help you in different ways. Timing when you build things and how you balance the jobs you give your people are needed to keep things running smoothly. You need to work together to stop the greed from breaking down your walls and destroying your kingdom. Kingdom Two Crown is great to play when you want to do something together but only really want to press around 3 buttons. (I played around when it got popular and again more recently). ![]() It is technically not fully released yet BUT as someone who has almost 200 hours in Valheim it provides enough of an experience to buy now. Well really it was Valheim but Kingdom Two Crowns is also really great.īy the sounds of it Grounded seems to share similar aspects to Grounded where you both can get the progression/combat and building/exploration you crave.
